Update: Password problems fixed on MON.
On a more personal note: I had been out of town for most of the month of Oct. Had to make a run home to Texas for some family celebrations & emergencies. Unfortunately, I was not able to log onto my account due to some password issues. Which I am still trying to fix with the help of dA staff.
Heck even if my password hadn't been an issue, the family farm is so isolated cellphone use was iffy at best. Not to mention I was busy, very busy...doing laundry/dishes/cooking, feeding cows, photographing the events, catching up with family I hadn't seen in ages. No!, none of the family photos will be posted on this site.
Some of the scenery art photos & some of artwork I did while there will be, once my password issues are resolved.
IF you have any advice you want to offer about this issue please send it by NOTE! Gloria

About this journal:
Decided to make my next few journals featuring some of the TV movies (aka Films), I have seen over the past yr., using various photos found on dA to give hints of what these movies are about. They are not accurate photos/images just visual clues.
Tried to use Traditional art over photos; & photos that have camera information over those without whenever possible. It's a good way to browse & feature new individuals, as well as, old friends' artwork.
Many of these movies have not been rated well. Some have nudity or sexual content.
Here are my 3nd set of films (Not necessarily in order of preference):
“The Importance of Being Earnest" A play by Oscar Wilde turned into a movie; very witty uptight-upperclass-British dialogue throughout
:thumb152047969:
“One, Two, Three” (1961 movie, Hilarious! but you have to make sure you get the uncut version. It does make fun of Communism/Socialism as well the US Capitalistic attitude... Personally I love the line “ & where I come from everyone hates the Yankees” . Just for the record, in some parts of the US calling an American a Yank or Yankee can get you in serious trouble.)
:thumb100338445:
“Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” (What made me think of this movie, was that I called one of my daughters & she answered the phone all breathy-like & I started to laugh cause I thought she was play acting Marilyn, turns out she was in the library & was trying to be quiet.... My favorite Marilyn Monroe movie is 1959 “Some Like it Hot” with Tony Curtis & Jack Lemmon.) Movie adapted from a 1925 novel by Anita Loos
:thumb111489886: :thumb5267817:
“Snatch” (2000 movie) It’s a rather dark movie about bank robbers, jewel thieves, mafia, corrupt boxing promoters trying to pull a fast one on the Pikey's (aka "Traveling Community") champion boxer. If you like this movie, you might also like "Man About Dog".
:thumb25831812:
“All Roads Lead Home” (w. Peter Coyote) if you like this movie you will most likely like “Because of Winn-Dixie” Both are family friendly movies with dogs in them.
“Inkheart” A fantasy about people who can READ characters out of books & how a storybook villain tries to control the world by controlling the Readers. May be frightening for YOUNG children.
:thumb82419279: :thumb115084650: :thumb138891039:
“Bubble Boy” A child born without immunities is forced to live his life inside a bubble, but love forces him to venture out into the world in a bubble suit. (it does make fun of religion(s), Southern hicks, etc. so if this offends you, don’t watch it.)
:thumb44876139:
“Last Holiday” After a women is diagnoses with a terminal illness she does all the things she’s always WISHED she could do. It's a fun, light-hearted movie.

I was tagged by Dave ~crazygardener (https://www.deviantart.com/crazygardener)
All you have to do is post 2-3 deviations of yours that you posted last year, then tag 5 friends to do the same on their journals.
As all my submissions are in storage & I will substitute Dave for me

Not For The Squeamish
Saw this on Nat. Geo’s "World’s Weirdest” Cures episodes. I was very ill when I saw this episode so don’t trust my accuracy, see the episode for yourself…but if my note taking is curate it said:
Cure #1 One in every twelve Americans is diabetic, every 20 sec. a diabetic somewhere in the world is having something amputated ( I hope I got this wrong…that seems like a lot of limb loss). University of Arizona’s Professor of Surgery Dr. David Armstong is going old school using Maggot Therapy on those who have tied other forms of traditional modern medication (like stem cell therapy & skin graf
The Last of The Watcher Friend Features
Been pretty sick for the past few weeks with a respiratory infection, thought I’d be all better by now but the infection lingers. I should have gone to the Drs.
Now it seems prudent just to wait it out. Hadn’t realized I only had 2 left...YEAH! I am all done with the friend features.

She is a fantastic artist yet most of her pieces only have one or two faves. This is just a sampling of her work, she is very diversified. I originally started watching her cause of her tea pots & cups series. One of my favorite painting of hers is one she did of carnations, as she captured their beauty & their sadness. Not an easy feat to do.

Great way you find to show "features". Never saw “All Roads Lead Home”, but i'll do it.
Thank you very much.
