Decided to make my next few journals featuring some of the TV movies (aka Films), I have seen over the past yr., using various photos found on dA to give hints of what these movies are about. They are not accurate photos/images just visual clues.
Many of these movies have not been rated well. Some have nudity or sexual content.
Here are my 2nd set of films (Not necessarily in order of preference):
“Viva Maria” (1965 film, Brigitte Bardot/Jeanne Moreau the invention of the strip tease; a very young & gorgeous George Hamilton: who said revolution couldn’t be comical & have some sexy parts too Note this movie was once banned in Dallas, Tx. as it was considered too racy )
:thumb49369981:
“My Winnipeg” ( It’s listed as a documentary, but it real only in the writer’s “Guy Maddin’s mind . WARNING!!!! random nude female crotch shots “of his mother”).
“The Legend of 1900” (A musical genius, who was born, & lived his entire life on a ship, never once setting foot on land)
:thumb70621233:
“The Painted Veil’ (2006 film Ed Norton plays a bacteriologist during the height of a cholera outbreak in China. Wonderful scenery & costumes)
:thumb163998005: :thumb112706317:
“My Life as a Dog” (1985 Swedish Movie; the boy in this film reminds me of my son, so much so that if I am ever in the hospital or terminally ill, I figure he will show up with a toaster instead of flowers)
:thumb37188416:
"Music Within" (The true story of Richard Pimentel who helps write the American with Disability Act)
:thumb59473985:
"Gran Torino" (A young Hmong teen is ordered by a local gang to steal his neighbors 1972 Gran Torino. Note some violence, shootings, swearing, racial slurs. Despite all these negative, the movie is surprisingly tender & loving. America at it's worse & best.)
:thumb130249950: :thumb102094200: :thumb158119511:
Mozart & the Whale (a book, turned into a movie about two people with Asperger’s/savants that fall in love. He has a love of numbers, birds & whales & she has is a free spirited painter whose best friend is her pet rabbit. )

Not For The Squeamish
Saw this on Nat. Geo’s "World’s Weirdest” Cures episodes. I was very ill when I saw this episode so don’t trust my accuracy, see the episode for yourself…but if my note taking is curate it said:
Cure #1 One in every twelve Americans is diabetic, every 20 sec. a diabetic somewhere in the world is having something amputated ( I hope I got this wrong…that seems like a lot of limb loss). University of Arizona’s Professor of Surgery Dr. David Armstong is going old school using Maggot Therapy on those who have tied other forms of traditional modern medication (like stem cell therapy & skin graf
The Last of The Watcher Friend Features
Been pretty sick for the past few weeks with a respiratory infection, thought I’d be all better by now but the infection lingers. I should have gone to the Drs.
Now it seems prudent just to wait it out. Hadn’t realized I only had 2 left...YEAH! I am all done with the friend features.

She is a fantastic artist yet most of her pieces only have one or two faves. This is just a sampling of her work, she is very diversified. I originally started watching her cause of her tea pots & cups series. One of my favorite painting of hers is one she did of carnations, as she captured their beauty & their sadness. Not an easy feat to do.

I thank you kindly for including my humble pic in there, this is a rather clever idea for a journal too.
Also, kudos to all the pieces that made their way here. Some fantastic piece there.
Regarding the movie where my piece is featured, and looking at the pictures featured:
I'm going to guess "Music Within" is about how Richard Pimentel becomes impaired or handicapped during Vietnam, suffers from either depression or alcoholism at some point, and decides it's his calling to help raise awareness on the hardships people with disabilities suffer, in order to finally enact the People with Disabilities Act?
Close?
