Thought I had put this in storage when I wasn't able to put a dA watermark on it (was originally too small, have now submitted a larger version) but it seems to be missing so I must have unintentionally deleted it. As this is the original image posted on this site have resubmit it. I did at a later time change the rainbow section in the background ( this version is a WIP) Recently went to visit my son where I expected to photograph this painting using my new camera & was disappointed to find out it had been stolen while he lived in Texas.

"A blooming beauty", Thank you Michael. It came out rather colorful but that's what I like about working with flowers & fungi they come in the most unusual colors.

The color of her dress symbolizes the night in my understanding. She is very mysterious and attractive, but at the same time this queen looks a little shy and innocent. I love the background, because it looks very psychedelic. The mushrooms and the orange nimbus- sun have a very positive and powerful energy. Great colors as always Gloria:)

Love that you saw the posture of her head as showing that she is both shy & innocent, that is exactly what I wanted to come across even though she has no facial features or expressions.

I changed the background nimbus in the final version & added MORE color to the mushrooms.
