An Apple blossom paintings of my neighbors tree. What's interesting about this tree is that it is grafted to produce 5 different varieties of apples.

Lots of new changes in our household my baby's growing up & moving out. The title just seemed appropriate to the situations.


Painting is 16 X 20 in. Done in water soluble oils.

We just planted one of those grafted apple trees here for Arbor Day. That one and a honeycrisp apple (my favorite). They're so pretty all decked out with the flowers. Your painting is beautiful and such a wonderful thought. Yes, it seems it's all about new beginnings lately. May they be the start of something amazing.

They grafted it with branches from different trees back when it was young.

What is very nice about this painting is that by daylight it's a lovely soft pink but in the dark it illuminates in pure white. A very nice effect.

Hopefully only good things will come from these new beginning.

Yes, somehow a soft blue seemed the right color, the house this tree is by is white but that seemed to compete with the almost white flowers (though mine are a darker pink).
