Many of you have send me friendship roses in the past & I being a rose hater have not returned them. So here I am eating crow...

There are several people on dA that are just lovely people. This rose is dedicated to my friend Violet :iconferice: who always seems to remember everyone's BD & who really care about the people she meets on dA. Her tribute contest to her freind Annie was very touching. Violet is has a good soul & is a great person.

I would also like to thank my friend Froggy :iconinshinfrog: , who for the 2nd yr. in a row, has sent me a gift of personalized Irish Calendar made of photos she took.

For extra packaging, she sent all the mistakes she had made while trying to perfect her craft, amongst them was a picture of a rose. I used that image for this drawing.

It's actually very pretty, better then it shows (lots of pink, & orange amongst the reds); but I didn't photograph it before spraying all the shiny adhesive to it, so had a terrible time even getting a photo without the glare. A lesson learned! Photograph, then spray...
