Inspiration comes in the oddest places...was looking at a book of Joan Miro's art & saw his work called "The Fight of the Dragonfly before the Sun" & I thought it looked like a bull. Take a look & see what you think [link]
I probably could have found better example, but I'm feeling very lazy.
My friend Robert's photo of a young buffalo [link]
helped me with the details. You're probably thinking WHAT details.
This is my 1st attempt at Contemporary Art:Simplification. I must say I really liked it.
This was finger painted....went over the blue with a brush using a Crisscross motion to give it a confetti look to the background.
The size of the canvas is 24 X20 in.
I am very relieved. I got mixed reactions at home. My daughters loved it, my husband still avoids the question "What do you think?"
Personally, I think it came out really good. Thank you for the fav.
I forgot to mention I painted this with my index finger...then went back over the blue with a brush & made X strokes though out the background to give it a different texture.
this is simply wonderful. I love what you have done here. It looks like old indian paintings. My eyes are drawn to the colors and the illusions of texture.

There are painters who transform the sun to a yellow spot, but there are others, who with the help of their art and their intelligence, transform a yellow spot into sun....Pablo Picasso
Don't think this is just another news article with the usual love deviations that have already hundreds of favorites! All of these deviations don't have even 100 favorites & they're the best!
Please watch them closely and show your appreciation! @
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
